Latin dance refers to types of ballroom and folk dance that originated in Latin America. Latin dances in international dance sport competitions are the Cuban Rumba and Cha-Cha-Cha - named for its three quick steps; the Brazilian Samba is best known for its appearance at Carnival and the Paso Doble, which originated in Spain.
