Hi, i'm Sally and I run pilates fitness classes in Leicester and Retford.
Pilates is an exercise system designed to strengthen the body, lengthen muscles and improve posture, with particular emphasis on core stability.
For this reason it is the ideal exercise for rehabilitation after injury - particularly back problems.
Pilates is excellent for general body conditioning, sports specific performance enhancement, and ante & post natal exercising, Pilates can also help with specific medical conditions such as ME, fibromyalgia, arthritis, osteoporosis, MS, stroke, Parkinson’s disease and many others.
I am from a Classical Ballet background, dancing soloist and principal roles in Europe and USA, as well as becoming an original cast member of Phantom of the Opera in London.
I trained as a fitness instructor after my dancing career ended through injury, & I now specialise in STOTT PILATES®.
