Sort out your fun-life! Join local coasteering groups. Follow, friend and meet other coasteering fans. Coasteering and a whole range of leisure activities.
Coasteering involves moving along the coast's tideline on foot or by swimming. Often a guided activity, groups of coasteers negotiate their way along the tideline of a rocky coastline without the aid of boats or any other craft. Coasteering combines aspects of rock climbing, caving and swimming as well as adventure challenges like canyoning or jumping from cliffs.
This is an exhilarating, adrenaline filled, adventure sport and includes a range of energetic activities. Given the obvious potential dangers, a good knowledge of the local environment is recommended. Before it became an organised activity, people practised what we now call coasteering to access cut-off coves. Smugglers were experts at coasteering!
