Triathlon is a sport where participants compete continuously and sequentially in swimming, cycling and running. Triathletes compete for fastest overall course completion time, including timed transitions between the individual swimming, cycling and running components. The sport focuses on training in each of the three disciplines as well as combination workouts and general strength conditioning.
Triathlon pushes you to your limits! Competitions start with a swim, then a cycling section, before finishing with a run. Some of the swims are in pools but many are in lakes or other open waters. If you want an even bigger challenge, try a long distance triathlon, Ultra Distance or Ironman.
