Badminton is a racquet sport played by hitting a shuttlecock across a net. Badminton can be played as singles, doubles or with larger teams. Points are scored by striking the shuttlecock with the racquet and landing it within the opposing side's half of the court, beyond their reach. Each side may only strike the shuttlecock once before it passes over the net.
Badminton is unique because the shuttlecock has aerodynamic properties that make it fly differently from the balls used in most racquet sports. Competitive badminton is played indoors on a court but it can be played outdoors just for fun as a garden or beach game that will build your stamina and give you a great sense of wellbeing.
