Futsal is a type of five-a-side soccer played indoors. The game is played between two teams of five players and unlimited substitutions are permitted. The pitch is a hard court surface and a smaller ball with less bounce than a regular football is used. The emphasis is on improvisation, creativity and technique as well as ball control and passing in small spaces.
