Korfball is a team ball game of shooting a ball through a basket (korf). Korfball originated in the Netherlands and is similar to netball and basketball. It is played by two teams of eight with either eight women or four women and four men on each team. The objective is to throw a ball through a bottomless basket (korf) mounted on a high pole.
Fast-paced and dynamic, Korfball is the only truly mixed team ball sport in the world - play it inside in winter and outdoors the rest of the year. The sport is accessible to anyone of any age from beginners to international athletes. As a team game where the tactics are all about cooperation, it is a great way to go Dutch!
