Netball is a ball sport. Goals are scored by shooting through the opposition's goal net. Games are played on a rectangular court with a raised, netted goal ring at each end. Players take specific positions, which define their roles and restrict their movement to certain areas of the court. A player with the ball can hold on to it for only three seconds before shooting for a goal or passing to another player.
Every girl loved netball at school and, if you're looking for a way to get fit and have fun, why not get back to playing the most popular team sport for women in the world? The traditional game is seven-a-side and the focus is on balance, coordination and teamwork. But there are several varieties of both indoor and outdoor netball so, regardless of your age or fitness ability, you can play!
